The 1.7 version of pooltool does not work anymore.
You would need to change the old program yourself to work with the new playray, which involves randomized colors of the balls as well.

I only kept the 1.7 for archiving, and for the case someone likes to try to fix it on their own.

How to change the old program if it's not open source?

Yes, source is included in 1.7 (a .jar is only a .zip with a special MANIFEST file inside)
Of course 1.7 does not work anymore without some major modifications. But those who like trying to fix it can try that too.

v2 comes either with or without source, but reversing the binary should be easy ;)

Repairing the 1.7 is not easy.
You need to rewrite the ball scanner so it will detect the balls again.
At first you should unzip the 1_7.jar and import the sourcecode into a Java IDE.
Then look into the scanning methods and rewrite them.

Easy (and difficult) like that.
